Intas NEOMEC SX injection (ivermectin & clorsulon) is an endectocide used to treat and control both internal and external parasitic infestations in cattle, buffalo, sheep, and goats.
INDICATIONS
Internal Parasites (Endoparasites)
- Liver Flukes: Specifically targets adult and immature stages of Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke), a critical benefit provided by the addition of Clorsulon.
- Gastrointestinal Roundworms: Controls major adult and fourth-stage larval species such as Ostertagia ostertagi (including inhibited larvae), Haemonchus placei, Trichostrongylus axei, Cooperia spp., and Oesophagostomum radiatum.
- Lungworms: Treatment of Dictyocaulus viviparus infestations affecting respiratory health.
- Eye Worms: Eliminates Thelazia spp. infections in livestock eyes.
External Parasites (Ectoparasites)
- Mange Mites: Treats and controls infestations caused by Psoroptes ovis (scabies mite) and Sarcoptes scabiei var. bovis.
- Sucking Lice: Clears infestations of Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, and Solenopotes capillatus.
- Ticks & Cattle Grubs: Controls tick populations and targets the parasitic larval stages of cattle grubs (Hypoderma bovis and H. lineatum
ADMINISTRATION
- Species: Cattle, buffalo, sheep, and goats.
- Standard Dosage: 1 mL per 50 kg of body weight.
- Route: This medication must be given strictly via subcutaneous injection (under the loose skin of the neck or shoulder region). It should never be delivered intravenously or intramuscularly.
