Intas Marbomet tablets (containing Marbofloxacin) are a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections in dogs and cats.
INDICATIONS
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections (Dogs/Cats): Treatment of infections including pyoderma, wounds, abscesses, folliculitis, furunculosis, and cellulitis.
- Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) (Dogs): Treatment of UTIs (cystitis), including cases associated with prostatitis or epididymitis.
- Respiratory Tract Infections (Dogs/Cats): Treatment of infections such as pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, and chronic bronchitis.
- Secondary Infections: Used to treat infections caused by injuries, scratches, or allergies.
ADMINISTRATION
- Dosage Range: Typically 2 to 5 of body weight, administered orally once daily.
- Duration: Usually continued for 2 to 3 days after symptoms subside for soft tissue infections, and at least 10 days for urinary tract infections.
- Drug Interactions: Do not administer concurrently with dairy products, supplements, or antacids containing calcium, iron, or magnesium, as these bind to the drug and reduce absorption.
