Intas MAMMITAS intramammary infusion (cefuroxime) is used to treat clinical and sub-clinical mastitis in dairy cattle, and buffalo.
INDICATIONS
- Clinical Mastitis: Treatment for active, visible udder infections.
- Sub-clinical Mastitis: Management of asymptomatic intramammary infections identified by elevated somatic cell counts or a positive California Mastitis Test.
- Chronic Mastitis: Long-term therapy for persistent, established infections in the udder.
ADMINISTRATION
- Route: Infuse 1 syringe containing 250 mg Cefuroxime) per affected quarter at 12-hour intervals for 3 to 4 consecutive milkings.
- Chronic Cases: Therapy can be extended up to 8 syringes per quarter, or as directed.
Important Safety Considerations
- Animal Sensitivities: Contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or other beta-lactam antimicrobials.
