Intas IZOPET Oral Solution (itraconazole) is a broad-spectrum antifungal medication used to treat fungal and yeast infections in dogs and cats.

INDICATIONS

• Primary Indication: Treatment of dermatophytosis (ringworm) in cats, particularly caused by Microsporum canis.
• Other Fungal Infections: Treatment of localized or systemic fungal/yeast infections in dogs and cats, including blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, and Malassezia dermatitis.

ADMINISTRATION

• Standard Dosage: The typical dose is 5 mg/kg of body weight administered once daily.
• Pulse Dosing (Ringworm): In cats, it is commonly prescribed on an alternating-week schedule (e.g., given once daily during weeks 1, 3, and 5, and left untreated during weeks 2 and 4).
• Administration Guidelines: Always use the graduated dosing syringe included with the package. Oral solutions for dogs are generally recommended on an empty stomach, while cats can be given the solution with or without food.
