Intas Pragma D (d-cloprostenol) is indicated for reproductive management and the treatment of ovarian and uterine disorders in large animals like cattle, buffaloes, horses (mares), and pigs (sows).
INDICATIONS
- Estrus Synchronization: Controlling and aligning the breeding patterns of a herd or individual animals to optimize artificial insemination or natural breeding schedules.
- Treatment of Sub-Estrus or Silent Heat: Inducing heat in animals that have a functional corpus luteum but fail to exhibit behavioral signs of estrus.
- Induction of Parturition: Inducing and timing labor in pregnant animals near full term (such as sows or cows) for managed veterinary delivery.
- Pregnancy Termination / Induction of Abortion: Inducing therapeutic abortion during the first half of an unwanted or pathological pregnancy.
- Uterine Disorders: Treating chronic endometritis, delayed uterine involution (slow recovery of the uterus after calving), and pyometra (purulent uterine infections) by promoting uterine contractions and clearance.
- Ovarian Dysfunction: Treating luteal cysts and restoring normal estrus cycles.
ADMINISTRATION
Species and Standard Dosages
The formulation is administered strictly via the intramuscular (I/M) route:
- Cattle and Buffaloes:
- Mares (Horses): 0.3 mL to 1 mL

Critical Safety Precautions
- Pregnancy Warning: Do not administer to pregnant animals unless the explicit goal is the termination of pregnancy or the induction of parturition, as it will cause abortion.
