INDICATIONS
ADMINISTRATION
- Route: Administered via intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection.
- Dogs & Cats: 15 to 30 mg/kg of body weight administered daily for 3 to 5 days.
- Cattle & Buffalo: 20 to 25 mg/kg of body weight depending on the specific formulation strength.
- Contraindications: Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillins. It must be avoided or carefully dose-adjusted in neonates, young puppies/kittens, or animals with advanced kidney or liver disease.
- Withdrawal Periods (For Livestock): When treating food-producing animals, strict safety withdrawal periods must be observed before food consumption: 7 days for milk and 28 days for meat.
