Intas Pabadine (sulphadimidine) is a broad-spectrum antibacterial medicine used to treat bacterial and certain protozoal infections in livestock—such as cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, and some pets.

INDICATIONS

• Gastrointestinal Infections: Calf Scours (diarrhea), bacterial enteritis, and protozoal infections like coccidiosis.
• Respiratory Infections: Bacterial pneumonia and Hemorrhagic Septicemia (H.S.).
• Reproductive and Systemic Infections: Metritis (uterine infection), Actinomycosis (lumpy jaw), and Actinobacillosis.
• Other Bacterial Conditions: Septicemia (blood poisoning) and Foot Rot.
• Secondary Bacterial Infections: Treatment of secondary infections that occur alongside primary diseases.

ADMINISTRATION

• Livestock (Cattle/Buffalo/Sheep/Goat): 1–2 boluses per 50 kg of body weight, typically followed by a maintenance dose.
• Usage: Oral administration. It is essential to ensure continuous access to clean drinking water during treatment to minimize the risk of kidney crystals (crystalluria).
• Withdrawal Period: Care must be taken to follow veterinary advice regarding withdrawal times for meat and milk in food-producing animals.
